Welcome to 42 Change Makers, a 501c3 nonprofit organization where youth across Kenya’s 42 tribes are given the tools to succeed and become the next leaders of Kenya. Our mission is to create sustainable change that impacts generations by providing the skills, mentorship, and resources necessary for young people to excel academically, become leaders in their communities, and create their own entrepreneurial ventures. We are united by a shared belief in the power of education, leadership, and community.

Why matter?

Kenya is a country beset with ethnic tensions that make it difficult to build effective leadership coalitions. Ineffective governance leads to ethnic-civil unrest with youth at the forefront as perpetrators and victims. This makes it even harder to move forward as a country. Until we face this challenge, Kenya’s future is in jeopardy.  A significant size of young people in Kenya are between the ages of 13 and 25. This demographic is at a critical juncture, as the lack of support in education, civic leadership, and entrepreneurship severely hampers their potential and future prospects.
